TAC ART SHOW SUBMISSIONS

All hangable art will be accepted from students in grades 6-12 for the Lincoln Public Library's TAC Teen Art Show.

Art Show 2012

ART SHOW INFORMATION SHEET
Thank you for having an exhibition in the Lincoln Public Library’s Exhibition space where the work can be enjoyed by a great number of people. This room is a multi-purpose facility used by the library for programming and by community groups as a meeting place; therefore the material on display must be appropriate for all age levels.
As this room is used for other events, there will be times that when viewing the exhibition will not be possible due either to library programming or meetings. It is advisable to contact the Library 905- 563-7014 when planning a visit to ensure access to the room when you arrive
Library Hours are: Monday to Thursday 9-8 pm
Friday 9-5pm
Saturday 10-5pm
All work must be framed so as to hang on the wall using small nails. Frames can be purchased at the dollar store, thrift shops etc. You may use any style of frame for example, the glass and clips available at the dollar store.
An exhibition release agreement has been included with this information sheet, please fill it out and return it with your work.
Drop off is Monday January 30th to Saturday February 11th. Hanging will take place on Monday February 13th, 2012.
The Reception will be on Saturday March 3rd from 1-4pm.
Your work can be picked up Thursday March 29th, 2012.

5. Artist's telephone number
I hereby give the Lincoln Public Library Board authority to exhibit said works.
The acceptance of the work on loan shall not obligate the Lincoln Public Library Board to exhibit the same if it elects not to do so.

Nintendo Wii Club Needs You!
The Nintendo Wii Club needs volunteers to set up the game system and help run the program!
Three Fridays @ Fleming Library from 3:15pm - 4:45pm
Saturday at the Movies
The Lincoln Public Library needs volunteers to run the Saturday Afternoon Movies.
Once the library has volunteers the movie will be held once a month from 2- 4pm.
A great way to earn community service hours.
Book and Item Cleaning
Help keep the library books looking great. Volunteer for book cleaning. Set your own hours.

Teen Advisory Committee or TAC

Do you want to take part in creating innovative programs? Are you a teen between the ages 11 to 18? Join the Lincoln Public Library’s Teen Advisory Committee! Be a part of the team that helps with book selection for the young adult collection of the Lincoln Public Library. Teens throughout the community are invited to attend TAC meetings and programs. Teens meet monthly to discuss upcoming events, in addition to fulfilling volunteer hours by contributing to the Teen Advisory Committee.

Computer Training For Seniors
Help out people who are not familiar with computers. The CLICKS volunteer program is based on the Lincoln Public Library’s CLICKS Program. Basic computer knowledge is needed. Training to be provided. For more information please contact Margaret.

4th Thursday of the Month - Teen Afternoon Movie - 3:30-5:30pm
Wii Club Fridays

Three Fridays a month from 3:30-4:30, we get together and play Mario Kart, Brawl and more! Come out and have some snacks and play a game or two!

Drama Club Mondays

This club is for teens in grades 6 - 12. We meet from 4-5pm and play drama and improv games.

Come out to this fun club, meet new friends and share your love of acting!


Chess Club @the Fleming Library

Mr. Evans will teach us how to play chess. This all  ages program wil begin on February 22, 2012.
Come out to this exciting club and learn the art of strategy.

The club will met on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00pm.


Teen Advisory Art Show is coming!


If you are in grades 6-12, please bring in your framed art to the Fleming Library and it will be displayed in our TAC Art Show!

I will be accepting art until Feb. 13th, 2012.


The opening of the show will be on Wednesday February 15th until March 24th.

Meet and Greet the Artists is on Saturday March 3, 2012 from 1-4pm.
