Back to School Today!

Happy back to School Day?  Well, I hope it has been a good one for everyone.  I liked school, but the thought of going back... let's just say that I loved summer.... but I really liked school... What a dilemma...

Well enough of that... It is back to school and it is on to bigger and better things! FALL!

Fall means Fall Teen Programs! Yahoo! and we have some things planned for you.

In celebration of Halloween and all things spooky we are running the Undead Club.


Monday October 6 – Ghosts – Learn all about things ghostly!

Monday October 20 – Pumpkin Carving - Bring back childhood memories and carve a  pumpkin.

Monday October 27 – All things Zombie – Find out how to become a zombie with house hold items.

 
We will be running a Drama Club that will be mostly games and other fun techniques.

Therefore November & December  is Drama Club Months.

This game oriented program introduces basic drama concepts and more.

Mondays

Nov. 3 - Fun Drama Games – Let’s get to know each other

Nov 10 – Tableaux Games

Nov 17-  Space & Movement Games

Nov 24 – Improv Games

Dec 1- Creating Characters

Dec 8- Reader’s Theater Practice

Dec 15 Reader’s Theater Practice and Performance from 5- 5:30  for parents and guardians.


 This year we decided to add some special one off programs. We will be having these party type programs once a month... just because...

Thursdays

October  23-  Urban legends – Lean about classic urban legends are find out if they fact or fiction.

November 20 - Candy Sushi –  Learn how to make these tasty treats.

December  18 – Christmas Craft – Make a jar gift for someone you love!

 
If you need community service hours you may want to join the Teen Advisory Committee.

Do you want to take part in creating innovative programs? Are you a teen between the ages 11 to 18 and need community service hours?  Join the Lincoln Public Library’s Teen Advisory Committee!  We meet the first Thursday of every month from 3:30-4:30 pm.

We will also be starting up our Computer Training with Seniors. We are looking for teens that are tech savvy and would like to share their skills  to help seniors learn how to use their computer.
